I’ve long needed a new and more concentrated focus for my blogging. I’ve been blogging since 2004 but in the last couple of years my writing has drifted and my personal blog now rarely gets updated. I won’t bore you with the reasons why (for they are numerous and boring!), suffice to say that I’ve wanted to get back into writing but needed a new direction.
Having a strong interest in most forms of technology, web development, and general geekery alongside a growing passion for open source / linux / free culture I decided those are the things I really want to write about. I’ve also been wanting to put this domain to use for some time, and hence Naxtr is born!
Where does the name come from? Sorry if you’re expecting some reply that makes you go ‘oooh, neat!’ but it’s really just a random made up word. I wanted a short and catchy domain name and naxtr.com fit the bill nicely.
So, now that the formalities are out of the way, thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you around here again!
PS - Please excuse the site design, I’m midway through it but thought some content was probably more important than looks so decided to begin posting anyway. I also need a better tagline!
